These 2 are solved differently because of a major thing; 1/4 and 1/3 are completely different numbers, so the formula is different, it would be either 1/2 + 1/4 or 1/2 + 1/3

1/2 and 1/4 is different than 1/2 and 1/3 because 1/3 is larger than 1/4.
