Given the following system of equations: 2x+6y=12, 4x+3y=15

2x + 6y = 12..........(1)

4x + 3y = 15............(2)

(1) * 2

= 4x + 12y= 24

SUBTRACT (1) & (2)

= 4x + 3y = 15

  4x + 12y = 24  ( - )

----------------------------

-9y = -9

y = 1

x = 3
